Once the boxes are in and the movers have gone, there’s usually a short list of small jobs left before a new place actually feels finished — mounting a TV, hanging curtains, assembling flat-pack furniture, fixing a wobbly cabinet door, or mounting shelves and mirrors. Al Mas Movers’ handyman service covers exactly this list, whether it’s booked as part of your move or on its own.
These two overlap but aren’t the same thing. Furniture installation, as part of a move, means assembling and setting up the furniture that came with you — beds, wardrobes, tables — as part of the moving service itself. Handyman services cover the wider list: TV and mirror mounting, curtain rails, small repairs, and general fixes that go beyond simply putting furniture back together. If you’re moving with us, furniture installation is usually bundled in; handyman work for everything else can be added on.
You don’t need to book a move to use our handyman service. It’s just as often booked on its own — for someone who’s already moved and just wants a few jobs done properly, or a homeowner who never moved with us at all but wants the same team back for a follow-up job.
A handyman visit is scoped in advance so the right tools and hardware (wall anchors, brackets, screws matched to the wall type) come along the first time, rather than a second visit because the job needed a part nobody brought. For anything outside general handyman work — a licensed electrician or plumber job, for instance — we’ll say so upfront rather than attempt it and hope for the best.
Q: Can I book handyman services without also booking a move?
A: Yes — handyman work is available as a standalone booking, whether or not you’ve moved with us.
Q: Do you supply the tools and mounting hardware?
A: Yes, standard tools and hardware come with the visit; anything specialty (a specific bracket or fitting you’ve already bought) can be provided by you if you have a preference.
Q: How soon after moving day can a handyman come?
A: It can be booked for the same day as your move or scheduled for whenever suits you afterward — there’s no fixed window.
Q: What if a job needs a licensed electrician or plumber instead?
A: We’ll let you know during scoping if a job falls outside general handyman work and needs a licensed specialist.
